The MA-300 includes an accessory shoe at the top so you can mount your VL-10i up there. Just be careful because the entire assembly is plastic and all that stuff will put a lot of stress on the GL2's hot shoe.

Thanks Chris Hurd
Mr. Hurd
What if instead i buy the Azden pro wireless mic system Is that a better route to go? without hurting the shoe mount, and if so how will i connect both the wireless mic and the light, is there a device that can do that and please where can i buy it from. Many Thanks Regards Danny from el Paso Texas |

Bracket 1 for your wireless receiver
You can use a device such as the Bracket 1 to hold your wireless receiver. I use one on my GL2 and it works well.
http://www.bracket1.com/ You can buy them from B&H. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=284435&is=REG <<<-- Originally posted by Danny Mendoza : Mr. Hurd [...]how will i connect both the wireless mic and the light, is there a device that can do that and please where can i buy it from. |

Don't Use Metal
Avoid using a bracket that has a metal mounting plate. The shoe on a GL-2 is a smart shoe for connecting a video light or a microphone. According to Canon tech support, a metal plate placed in a smart shoe might damage the camera. This was not a problem with a GL1 which did not have a smart shoe.
