How do I re-set my tape counter...read on.
I'm in the process of building a new home, so every day I shoot 2-3 minutes of video and then transfer it to my computer each night. I hate having to "play" the tape and hold down the REV button to find the begining of the day's clip.
Is there a way to put zeros at the end of each clip so the next day I can film my 2-3 minutes of video and then have the rewind stop at zero? Each time I reach the end of the day's clip, the counter goes to --|--|-- (but continues on where it left off when I film the next day). The "zero set memory" on the remote doesn't work unless there is video active on the screen, so basically, I have to hit "zero set memory" a split second before the day's clip ends or it won't work. There must be an easier way! Any suggestions? |

Kyle,
I would think that you would want to use the zero set memory button as you begin to roll tape of the house. Then, when you get home, you should be able to tell the camcorder to return to the zero set memory position. That's how it worked on the old VCR's. Hope that helps, =gb= |

Oh geez...sometimes the most obvious doesn't jump out. Thanks for the help.
BTW, can this be done on the camera, or do I need the remote to set it to zero? |
