GL2 Audio Question

OK Gang, I'm a newby here. Just bought a GL2 and MA-300 XLR adapter. When I run my BeyerDyanmic Shotgun mic through it, only one channel registers on the VU meters. The same applies when i use my Samson UM1 wireless mic system.

My Question is, does anyone know if it is possible via a menu or switch to record one mic in 2 channel L/R audio?

Thanks a ton!

Eric

Eric, if you want to feed the mono signal from your mic into both XLR channels, I think your best bet is to pick up an inexpensive "Y" adapter which has one XLR jack at one end and two XLR plugs at the other end. Otherwise known as a splitter, I guess. Or rather the opposite of a splitter. But fairly common nonetheless. There is no such switch on the camera or in the menu. Hope this helps,

Thanks!

Thanks for your help, Chris. I appreciate it. I was going to pick up an XLR y adapter but I wasn't sure if it was necessary. Thanks again.
