Usage of Zoom button on handle
What I like about the GL2 is the zoom button on the handle, but my question is:
1. How often do you guys use it? 2. What kinds of shooting scenarios would you use it for? 3. Do you really find it that useful? As of now I can't predict how often I'll use it. I'm only asking this because I'm debating on purchasing the GL2 (which is a bit over my budget) or perhaps the Panasonic DVC 30. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

It can be handy for reframing low hand-held shots.

I would never consider using the handle zoom control for in-vision zooms. As Ken says, it's purely there to change shot size when shooting low angle shots.
