Confusing the LCD
Hello everyone!
Only a short question: Is there any possibility to make my GL 2 think the display is flipped 180° without having it flipped? (the picure shall appear upsidedown, and be mirrored... ) I saw a picture on the internet, a guy did this with his Sony PD100A and ... nails ... "The nail attached to two blocks of plastic is depressing a little internal switch which makes the monitor flip its image." Has anybody got an idea how I can achieve this with my GL2 ? Thanks a lot, Maxi. |

The GL2/XM2 has a litle magnet on the camera under the LCD hinge. There's a senzor on the LCD, above the hinge.
The litle magnet can be removed - it is under a small covering. I removed it and placed it near the senzor on the LCD and that turned the image while the LCD was in the normal position. Others taped a litle magnet on the LCD, at the senzor area. You're probably trying a mini35 DIY? :)

Hey Cosmin!
What you said is fact, it's for a mini35 :) Thank you very much for your hint, I'll have a try wirg a 2nd magnet tomorrow. Removing the magnet makes my gurantee invalid, right? Thanks, Maxi. |
