Down loading to a Apple iBook G4
In the past I have been able to down load my video to my Apple iBook G4 using the Mac OS X operating system via the USB terminal on both the camera and the computer. Tried to do that today and the iMovie 4 will not recognize the camera.
The instructions for iMovie state that the connection from camera to computer should be made via the Fire Wire port. My question is what is the proper cable for such a connection. In looking at Canon's website it apears to me that I need a IEEE 1394 cable which is 4 pin on the camera side and 6 pin on the computer firewire connection. If this is the proper cable where can I purchase it? Canon does not sell it. Thank you Kent |

Yes, the 6 to 4 pin cable is correct. Many retailers, such as CompUSA and Best Buy usually carry the necessary cable.
