Aspect Ratios
I've been fooling around with the Title-Mix and was wondering how do I create the black bars for different aspect ratios in Photoshop? Specifically 2.35:1 and 1.85:1. I know I have to crop a portion of the top and bottom of the frame but I'm not exactly sure how much for each aspect ratio. Anyone know how to accomplish this?

See my Letterbox Calculator to calculate your own masks
or download my pre-made models. They should work fine for your GL2 title-mix function although they are probably slightly off from the builtin 16:9 mask due to calculation differences.

Rob,
I've been using the 16:9 mask on my XM2 for a while and think that it's a great facility. My only complaint is that the black isn't completely black. Sometimes there's more black in the picture content than the bars. Robin. |
