Beware of grey-market retailers
A word of warning: There are a variety of places on and off the Web that are advertising DV equipment for very low prices. I recently saw the GL2 advertised for $1479.00 at one of them.
Beware... these retailers are usually selling grey market (non-US) equipment, without the USA warranty or ANY of the included accessories. Two of the retailers (which I believe are under the same ownership) are: A & M Photo World (http://amphotoworld.com) Broadway Photo (http://www.bwayphoto.com) In addition, they offer terrible customer service and annoyingly unhelpful sales staff. I didn't find out until nearly completing my order that the product I was about to order was not the GL2 "kit" -- complete with the Canon USA warranty and accessories. |

Once again I can't stress enough how important it is to avoid this sort of heartbreak by purchasing only through our DV Info Net Community Sponsors at www.dvinfo.net > Sponsors. If you're in the market to make such a hefty purchase decision as a s-chip DV camcorder, you need to look only as far as our sponsors. They are without question the best, most honest and most reputable dealers you'll find anywhere. When it comes to choosing where to buy, I've done the hard work for you by selecting to partner with the best dealers in the business. You won't be disappointed.
DV Info Net Sponsors carrying the GL2 are Pro-Tape, Zotz Digital and ZGC. Contact info at www.dvinfo.net > Sponsors. Hope this helps, |
