That's the setup I started using this year for ceremonies. One lav at the podium and the other on the groom. Our second moving camera uses a shotgun for ambient mostly. This has been working much better especially for recording audio from the podium. Church echo is not a problem anymore. Bob |

i also have not had great experiences with the Azden SGM-1X. it's their low-end mic, and the sound reflects that.
i have also used the ME66 and the sound from that is SUPERB. if anyone is still in a huge budget crisis (when are we not), i've also had results comparable to the ME66 from the cheaper Audiotechnica AT835b. it's not better than the ME66, and perhaps not as good, but it certainly blows away the Azden. |
