Astrophotography
Has anyone coupled a GL2 to a telescope? Nikon made a "T-mount" that I used for my Meade LX200 (2500 mm), but I haven't found anything like that for Canon. I don't even know if the ccd chips would function...but, imagine!
As a new GL2 owner, I'm sure glad I found this forum. Thanks! |

That's an excellent question, one that I've been waiting to see. I can't recall ever seeing a video camera being directly used to record celestial, hight sky, observations. Frankly, I don't think they would fare well. Their sensors (ccd's) are just too small and not really sensitive enough (within a 30 frames/sec. environment) to record the dim objects and fields. So it's probably not worth the effort to search for such a mount for a GL2.
