GL2 on ebay??
I have noticed some GL2 recently on ebay for some pretty reasonable prices. Looks like I could probably get one for about $1000 Canadian less than anywhere here local.
Anybody had any luck getting one off ebay? I know what to watch for with the obvioius scams, I am mainly talking about sellers that have a good positive feeback % and have 100's of transactions on ebay. Thanks

I recently sold my low-mileage GL1 on EBay for over $1000. I'd be cautious and make sure the seller has a return policy.

just beware of fraud. If they say ther are just leaving for Europe and need the money "wired to them " its a scam.
Don't get suckered in with low prices . |

Re: GL2 on ebay??
Many of the cameras on ebay are gray market, especially when they come from NY area.
Be careful! I bought mine off ebay, but it was from a seller in my town, so I met him and tested the camera FIRST. |

I have bought loads of stuff with Ebay, most here in UK and some from USA. Recently bought an XL1S for £600 less than in the shops on ebay as well (UK ebay), travelled to pick it up though. The great tool ebay has is its feedback. Check this out before buying anything and make sure its a reputable seller that can take and deal with returns.

If you aren't in a real rush, I suggest waiting for the next one to come up on here for sale. They pop up here frequently, and you are already on a first name basis with the folks here. Just my $0.02cdn

I got my GL2 on eBay. It was from a reputable seller with 400 feedback and I got it for $1500 shipped, didn't come with any accessories but I picked up a 4 wal-mart batteries for $15 each and a wal-mart charger for $30 and I've been happy ever since. This was a great investment for me!

Tim,
Do you happen to remember the name of the seller? I'm on the hunt for a GL-2 and would be curious to see what this person has to offer these days. Feel free to email the info to me (or PM it....I havent figured out PM's on this board yet). |
