Can I put Video from GL2 to Computer Directly?
I have a bunch of products i need to make quick video for, less then 1 minute each. IS there a way i can set the GL2 (or my HV30) so I can bypass the tape and go directly to hard drive?
Thanks..

Hi David.................
If you connect either camera to the PC using the Firewire cable, you can capture directly using your NLE just as if it were reading a tape.
The only fly in the ointment is if your chosen NLE doesn't give a live display as it captures, Adobe comes to mind. It's not a big problem (if it's a problem at all), and from my experience the live display during capture is pretty jumpy. Doesn't effect what goes on disc tho'. Also note that as the capture doesn't even require you to press the record button on the camera, they will auto shut down after about 5 minutes, unless you can (and do) disable it. CS |
