Hours of Usage on GL2 How to tell?
I want to put my slightly used Canon GL2 up for sale. Is there a way to check how many hours it has been used?

All you can do is estimate. When I sold my pair of GL2s, I counted the number of tapes I had (since I did not reuse my tapes) and there was my estimate of hours.

When estimating hours from tapes shot, be sure to allow for time in record, playback and pause modes. All three wear heads about equally.
Lots of cleaning tape uses also wear heads at a much faster than real time.
