2nd tally lamp

Is there any possible way to create a second tally lamp for the GL2? A second one mouted on the hot shoe would be ideal.

I keep a wind sock on the microphone, and cannot really see the record pause designation in the viewfinder or LCD screen when I am filming (while skiing in bright light with goggles or sunglasses on). I use the LCD to just basically frame the subject which in bright light or while it is snowing is also difficult.

My previous camera had a tally light on the front and back so I always knew when the camera was recording. I've missed a few shots I really wanted to capture and have had the camera inadvertantly recording when I did not know it was several times the past few weeks.

thanks for any suggestions.
