I have had the camera for 1 week and already have experienced this twice-both times with the packaged canon battery. Seems related to battery level. Hope this doesn't happen while filming important project.

Take to Canon and have it checked, I assume it's still under warranty. The Singapore Canon service department are excellent.

It happened to me twice. Turning off while shooting but not returning on.
Not long after, the camera told me its heads are dirty... AND, I was using a new brand of tapes. Maybe there is a relation. I just hope it won't happen again, the warrant is over. Pascal |
