L'essence de L'innocence

Hey, I havent seen too many short films made with the gl2. And when I was researching to get info before I purchased my gl2 about a year ago it really bugged me that there weren't many out there...

So this is to all who want to see footage of the gl2 and to all who doubt the gl2 in its quality. :)

I have had lots of good results with this camera and plan on keeping it until i can upgrade to another canon camera such as the A1.

Excellent!

* The large sound as the toothpick hit ground!

* Sequencing was driven by the narrative - and NOT the other way around!!

* Overall? Majorly expert use of this camera using it to its full. Major respect from me.

It's the use of the tools not the tool itself. For me, Tatsuya, you've proved that - and some.

Q1 - Did you employ a DoF device?

Q2 - What NLE did you use and what Colour grading techniques?

Q3 - Please supply your 16x9 method?

All of us are NOT as innocent as we portray: "I have had lots of good results with this camera and plan on keeping it until i can upgrade to another canon camera such as the A1."

You've made your point with me! And I can't think of a better way to wake up to 2008.

Regards

Grazie

Thanks

Thanks for the Awesome feedback Graham. Here are your answers :)
______________

A1: I did use a 35mm adapter for the parking garage scene and also for the shots of the girl entering her home, however her shots and the hitman's shots were done on completely different days so the hitman's shots were not done with the 35mm adapter.

Also the 35mm adapter was a diy one that wasnt put together too well..You can see some of the flaws of it in the parking garage scene when it shakes.

A2: The NLE that I use is Adobe Premiere. For advanced coloring I used After effects. The opening shot was just color graded in premiere(I just boosted contrast and flattened blacks). The clips with the hitman in the room was done in after effects. I think I used a plugin called magic bullet, but I am not entirely certain.

A3: The 16:9 method was done by switching on the wide screen mode in the gl2.

Thanks again for the compliments.
