I traded in my 24-105 f/4.0L IS for the 24-70 f/4.0L IS.

If you shoot wide angle a lot, the 24-70 is better. If you need 105mm the 24-105 is better!
The 24-105 is fine but not an image quality favorite "L" lens in the Canon camp. It has quite a bit of barrel distortion and could be a bit sharper compared to other "L" lenses. It does have great color, IS and is very versatile. So your decision should probably be based upon usage as well. Both are above the professional image quality bar. |
