5D iii ML 4K hack
I just heard someone comment that shooting 4k with the Magic Lantern hack will burn out the processor on the Canon 5d Mark iii. Does anyone know about the validity of this? It's a new hack. Does anyone have experience with this?
I was on a shoot using this cam and shooting 4k. The only problem experienced by the dp was that the camera would stop recording. At first we thought it was an issue with the CF card, but it was somehow later determined to be due to the Alpha version of ML 4K. Thanks in advance for your relevant input. |

Thanks. I saw that. Was wondering about possible differences with a Mark iii and specifically related to the processor issue.

Re: 5D iii ML 4K hack
No 4k on the 5DIII.
Max is 2560 x 1320 and that's only 83 frames. Also, it's only available in 3X crop mode. 1X raw recording is still at 1920 x 1080. |
