Universal release plate?
Hi,
I have a Canon 5D Mark II and many accessories... Slider, tripod, jib, steadicam, camera car... and I would like an easy and fast way to move the camera from one piece of equipment to another one. I can only think of a plate that has a housing that fits like a camera onto equipment.. So you buy N of these extra plates, screw one piece of housing on each piece of equipment and screw one of the N plates under the camera...Do you think it is going to work? Has somebody tried similar procedures? Do you know where I can get these plates with housing that fits on another plate with standard screw? Thanks, M |

Re: Universal release plate?
Here are two common solutions. If you own a Manfrotto tripod, select the one that is compatible...
Manfrotto 577 Rapid Connect Adapter with Sliding Mounting577 B&H Manfrotto 357 Pro Quick Release Adapter with 357PL Plate357 B&H

Re: Universal release plate?
I use the Manfrotto ones as well. They fit into my Sachtler FSB8 head, and the Manfrotto 701s I have on the jib, the monopod, and the slider. Very convenient.
