Trouble finding a look
Hi guys,
I very good friend of mine asked if I could do a quick video of him playing guitar and so I did, but I´m having trouble color correcting the footage to look more filmic. I´ve tons of videos shot with a MarkII that look incredible, but I have to say I´m not very please with the look I´ve got. Any tips?

Re: Trouble finding a look
You need to either add some lighting or not shoot him silhouetted against a large window. The dynamic range required for most of the shots are more than any camera can deliver least of all a poor little 5D2.

Re: Trouble finding a look
Here was a little messing around... a frame from your original and one that has some processing...
The original was a little heavy on the green. I balanced it a bit, let the brightest bits of the luma scale blossom a bit with a glow and crushed the blacks... |
