5D2 vs Mark IV?
I noticed that the Mark IV also has video capabilities.
Does anyone know if there is a difference? More control with the Mark IV? Thank you,

It's not a full-frame camera.

You're referring to the Canon EOS 1D Mk. IV and its video capabilities are nearly identical to those of the EOS 7D (the primary differences being the button used to activate video recording and the low-light capabilities of the 1D). Also the 1D has an APS-H sized sensor, which is physically smaller than the 5D but larger than the 7D.
Otherwise the main difference between the 1D and other Canon EOS cameras is its photographic capability and that can best summed up by pointing out that you get what you pay for (appx. $5,000 for the 1D and worth every penny). If you can afford the 1D, go for it! Always buy the best you can afford. |
