Strange Black Donut when pinting to the sun
I have updated to 2.0.7 recently.
I have noticed this effect when orienting the camera to the sun (17-40L at 17) I havent tried another lenses due to the risk of damaging the sensor. I use to do this when playing with my slider with the sun behind a wood or some leaves. Any else have experienced anythin similar? Thanks. Tomeu |

What you're seeing is probably some flare effect. The wide-angles are very prone to flare.

It's not a flare. This is an artifact of the CMOS sensor you'll also see with very bright lights. No avoiding it unfortunately.

The RED camera had the same problem when it first came out. It's fixed now.

Thanks for the answers!
The black donut appears around the solar disk so I think is due to the CMOS sensor. Tomeu |
