Which product is this? Juicedlink?
Howdy...
Just saw this ad at the bottom of the page: Can someone tell me which product this is? I'd love a 4 XLR Juicedlink with meters.. Thanks! -Ben |

OK, maybe I'm a dummy, but I still can't see that product that you're advertising. The link you sent goes to a page with 2 XLR inputs and a vertical meter... Where's the product in the ad?

That preamp (and all of them with the horizontal meters) was discontinued. I'm not sure why they're still using that photo in the ad.

Funny, isn't it? I can only think of about 4,000 reasons I would want to have 4 XLR inputs on a camera, and in history, it seems like a handfull of the betacam series had that, and now juicedlink. Glad they discontinued it, so that I can keep plugging and unplugging XLRs on the back of my camera!

Yes. It's too bad, becauase it's pretty much exactly what I want. Guess I'll have to go with the Azden FMX-42

They still have 4-input models, just not with the large meter.
Camcorder XLR Audio Adapter/Preamp: Buy Direct and Save The CX411 (no phantom) and CX431 (phantom) have foux XLR inputs, but no meters. The DT454 has two XLRs and a stereo mini input, giving four channels, small meters, headphones, and AGC killer. It doesn't have four XLRs, but it does have four channels of input.

Yes, you can get 4 inputs with no meter, or Meter without 4 XLR inputs...
Seems like a step backwards to me.. Oh well.. -Ben |

I'm not sure what happened. Maybe the meters were too expensive or the parts were discontinued. Maybe people weren't buying the more expensive version with meters. I'm not sure.

It's too bad. The Azden is around the same price, and has way more features. On the down side, it's larger, and may not have the same quality pre-amps, although I've seen mixed reviews of the Juicedlink...
