Using HDMI monitoring on set

Just finished a TVC for the Vietnamese market, I was able to hook using a HDMI splitter a monitor on camera monitor and one 24Inch for the agency and client.
Aside from the small delay, when pressing the “record” button the red signal blincked one time then stopped , I had to re-pressed to have it blinking-recording
Which gave me on top of all clips 1sec clips for all takes
Does anyone had the same issue ?
Using the same set up with a 7D , no problem ! (except the over heating warning but that’s another story )
Does anyone had the same issue ?
