recording audio into 5d using beachtek/ML: separate audio tracks?

I noticed the other day when I first tried out recording into my 5d using the Magic Lantern and Beachtek solution, that after reviewing it in FCP, there are in fact two audio tracks, but they are identical. So if when I record, for example, a wireless LAV and a shotgun boom into the camera, they are both mixed and recorded together on two identical tracks, instead of each having their own track.

is this normal and if not how can I fix?

thanks!
