5D Clips for DVD

I have some 1920 x 1080 clips shot on a 5D MK2 that I want to include on a DVD project. In the past I have used Mpeg Streamclip for converting to Pro Res. I edit with FCP 7. What would you all suggest for a workflow?
Thanks

Editing in ProRes 1080P (if your computer can handle it) is best, then just let Compressor do the heavy lifting of squishing it into DVD format. Compressor is surprisingly competent when left to its own devices.
