Mpeg Steamclip for PC
Is anyone using the on the PC? I have one editor still working in Sony Vegas and I need to get some 5D footage for her. What is the best way to do this with Mpeg Streamclip? I don't want to buy any additional software right now because we will be moving away from Vegas very soon.

I found it very straightforward to use on mu old PC with WindowsXP, but I haven't got it to work at all with Vista64 yet.

I am using mpegStreamclip on Vista Ultimate 32 bit with no problem. I don't know what format Vegas likes to work with; one problem, possibly, as I have no 5d clips to verify with, is iirc, they are mjpeg format, and you have to buy an mjpeg codec for pc. Unlike Mac, it's not provided. mpegStreamclip can make dv stream, avi, mov, etc, but obviously you have to have the same codec on each machine..../ Battle Vaughan
