5d edit in fcp with hdv footage

Hi there,

I'm mixing 5d with xh-a1 hdv footage. usually I convert the 5d to xdcam ex 25p and because i want to reduce the file size.. but it is taking such a long time to transcode even using mpeg streamclip.

I'm guessing the slow speed probably due to converting to 25p as well.

I wonder if you guys are having this problem as well?

I have a wedding on friday that requires SDE. I don't want to be transcoding for the whole day and not getting the job done...

Help anyone?

Thanks

Santo
