Anyone had an experience using an HDMI converter with pass thru?
I'm gearing up for a film and it would be great to see something back at my monitor while letting the camera operator see an image through his monitor. I was looking at one of these-
HDMI to Video CV/SV Downscaler - with HDMI pass-thru -that allows the operator to take the HDMI pass thru back for viewing in HD (or well 480p when recording) and sends a 480i signal back to video village. Has someone tried a setup like this yet? Or does anyone have a suggestion for a better way to solve this problem?

Nick, I just picked up a little HDMI splitter that takes the output from the camera and in theory should give 2 HDMI outputs. Not tried it yet but it should work for you in the situation you describe.

Hi Dan,
i was looking at one f those as well, but it occured to me that I don't have that much access to other HDMI devices (I suppose I could pick up a 23" monitor for a couple hundred bucks though) let me know how it works out!
