Tripod Legs

Hi,

Im looking to get a new lighter set of tripod legs to go with my Vinten Pro 5 Head. I'm finding the vinten pro 5 legs are far too heavy to carry for such a light camera, Is it worth the extra few bob for carbon fibre? I'm presuming I have to get a manfrotto set to go with the vinten head, anyone know if I've other options.

Also has anyone found a decent alternative to the Zacuto shoe adapter for the H4n, cant justify the money they're after. Cheers

Daniel
