the canon battery price just went up on b&h ($94.95) . looks like the demand is too great.

It's not just the battery. They've been raising prices on every product that I've been interested in lately.

If anyone is looking for real deal Canon LP-E6's, try pictureline. Non-US customers have to wire the money, so it's not worth it for them - I paid $32 to wire the money when I ordered three :(

$81 and in stock. The person I spoke to told me they had many.

Typically the generic batteries that are a quarter of the price of the genuine Canon ones do not report their charge level. I don't have a Canon battery grip but I do have one that cost less than half the price & is almost indistinguishable & the cheapo batteries that I have work in that. I can't see any reason why they wouldn't work in the grip after all you can put totally dumb AA batteries in the carrier & the camera works with those.

Here is a US eBay retailer selling genuine Canon batteries at $85 + shipping ($13 to Europe). They take PayPal so no need for wire transfer
