Live View and HDMI Output?

I just picked up an AJA HA5 which converts hdmi to hd-sdi.

I was hoping to get a full 1080 image on the hdmi output. Seems to be more like 640x480.

Maybe I have something set wrong?

Is anyone getting a full raster image in live view?

I thought the HDMI output was full res in Live View, but not when recording. Others have posted that it is certainly 1080p when playing back, but I have never tested it myself.

I'm running the same set-up. Try switching over the Focus mode to Face Detection

Guy,

Thanks for the reply.

Are you saying that you are getting a full raster output?

It's 1080 - cropped on the sides with black bars and we're still diggin' around for a way to have the white rectangle go away when it detects a face.
For now, I'm still shootin' with a "normal" video camera HDSDI - direct to ProRes through a Matrox MXO2.
