Fixed lens EOS 5 Mark 2 ?
Is this newly released fixed lens Canon Powershot XS 1 IS just a cheaper version of the Canon EOS 5 mark 2 but with a fixed lens, the video specs appear to be the same as the 5 Mark 2. If so it it very cheap for a 20x zoom
Canon Hongkong Co., Ltd. Of course it is not full frame sensor |

Hi Bob, the Powershot SX1 IS not a cheaper version of the 5D Mark II. It's actually from an entirely separate product line (the 5D Mk. II belongs to a series of Digital SLR cameras from Canon, while the SX1 IS comes from Canon's "S" class of PowerShot consumer-level digital still point & shoot cameras; they are entirely different animals altogether).
I already have an SX1 discussion thread underway; this camera is very interesting because it shoots HD video but is not available in the U.S. for some reason. Please direct any replies to this subject to the already-in-progress thread at http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/photo-hd-...lable-usa.html |
