eos-m dumb adapter question
i'm shooting with my eos-m and a pk/pentax dumb adapter mounted to a pentax 50mm/f2 lens. (no auto exposure/no autofocus/yes exposure)
i am in m/manual mode. i am shooting at 1/50th. the f/stop is not registered (it's a dumb adapter!) but i'm open at f2.8 the lcd is VERY dark. i can barely see the object i'm shooting in the lcd. i meter using the exposure compensation scale. i shoot the shot and the exposure is perfect. i take the same shot with the 18-55mm kits lens. i am in p mode. i meter using the exposure compensation scale. i am at nearly the same exposure as my first shot.(f2.8 vs f3.5/iso 200 vs 100) the lcd is a perfect rendering of the shot-nice and bright. i shoot the shot and the exposure is perfect. i put the eos-m in green A mode with the same kit lens. the lcd is bright. metering is automatic and is the same as the p mode. i shoot the shot and the exposure is perfect. three shots. very near same exposure on each. but the one with the pk dumb adapter has a VERY dark lcd. what gives? i apologize in advance if this is a newbie-type question. any and all thoughts are appreciated. be well. rob smalltalk productions nyc |
