EOS-M controls
is it possible to control everything on the M without having to use the touchscreen controls? I needed to use a sunshade yesterday (a quick homemade black rectangle tube I threw together) and then I couldn't reach the screen for touch controls. I can probably later on redo the shade with the sides cut on an angle up and the bottom cut out halfway. But, I am wondering if we can run the whole camera without the touchscreen controls.
And, what if I plug in an hdmi mini to an external monitor to see framing for low steady cam shooting or high crane shots. How can I control the camera then without having the touchscreen controls available. Or, will it even still make video recordings with an HDMI plugged in? I don;t have the hdmi cable and ext monitor yet. I am just trying to think ahead for a project I have starting up that I want to do just using the M. Is it possible to use a wireless remote control to control the camera? Record on/off? other things like focus, aperture, etc. I know, asking for a lot. I did see a short youtube where a guy had some sort of remote control using the M, but there was no talking on the video he posted there. Very short clip. Alex |

Re: EOS-M controls
I've been able to run everything without the touch screen, except to magnify the video for focus. Been using a Z-finder, which works well in the sun and gives added handheld stability. Have not run HDMI with a monitor.

Re: EOS-M controls
Thanx Charles. I just got my camera and I am still exploring what it can and cannot do.
