Zacuto Z-Finder and Jag35 dslr baseplate mix well?
I've done a lot of searching and have come up with nothing here.
My question is what would be the best rig if I wanted to retain the optional use of my Z-Finder pro (attached via Zacuto baseplate) while adding on rods so I can attach accessories (monitor, mic, etc) without getting a full shoulder rig setup (for the 7D)? I want to try the Jag35 dslr baseplate v2 (or even Zacuto's dslr baseplate) and simply mount that to the bottom of the Zacuto plate but that would eliminate the possibility of mounting follow focus correct? I need some ideas for compact rigs that are easily packed for travel. |

Jag35 makes a base plate specifically for the Z-finder Gorilla plate as a lower cost alternative to the Zacuto one, they call it the gorilla stand.

Thank you Paul! I can't believe I didn't see that yesterday. That is exactly what I need.
