EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM on 7D?
Will the new Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lense work on the 7D?
Will you get a smooth focus while recording video? |

In the specs it says it supports the Rebel t4i (EOS 650D), so I don't think you will get autofocus with a 7D. The f5.6 is a real killer. It kind of defeats the purpose of using a DSLR for video, doesn't it?

I do not see anywhere that is says this lense is limited to the T4.
Photo Review.com wrote “Designed specifically for Canon's DLSR cameras with 'APS-C sized' sensors, this lens is a good choice for photographers who want a single body+lens configuration. The18-135mm zoom range (28.8-216mm in 35mm format) suits a wide variety of subjects and is ideal for travel photography.” The question is will it focus smoothly on a 7D while recording. As for the “purpose of using a DSLR for video” There is move than one reason to use a DSLR for video. |
