Timelapse question

Hi,

Im doing a multiple day timelapse shoot with intervals of 30 secs.
Its in an studio enviroment.
I use the eos utility software for the timelapse.
Now my question:
Is there any best way to do this regarding to power?
Does the 7d draw power from the interface cable or not?
The most ideal situation is that the setup would run automaticly without me being there.
So i wouldnt want to change batteries every 5ish hours.
Also found the ACK-E6 AC-Adapter, but thats a bit expensive for something im probably only going to do once.
Do you know a solution?
