Cheap hd camcorder as back up
So got a double booking by mistake! Whoops! So the four cameras will be used two on each shoot! But as a precaution is there a really cheap hd good quality cam out there that would do a job at full hd or 1080x 1440. I read on here ages ago someone had a chinese one cheap and was really good footage?? Steve

Re: Cheap hd camcorder as back up
If you find out what the cheap chinese one was, please post back in here as I'm looking for a couple of cheap HD cams as b/c roll for events.

Re: Cheap hd camcorder as back up
with sufficient amount of light I'd say any high end consumer camcorder will do the job, but full HD is 1080X1920

Re: Cheap hd camcorder as back up
At what price range?
We use Canon HF M406 (the European version of the HF M400) as B role cams and they are outstanding. Image quality is identical to the XA10 we also have. If you want something cheaper and you don't mind the 29min limit I suggest the Sony HX7V or the HX9V. They are not video cameras but they have wide angle lenses, 1080 50/60p and they seem to have excellent video quality (I don't own one so I cant be sure) |
