Stuck battery grip -- does it matter?

I want to install Magic Lantern but my battery grip for my T2i is stuck. I had this problem once but it eventually just worked. I've been cranking at this thing so much my arm is sore -- and yes I'm turning it the right away. If I install ML without the grip will it make a difference or is it merely a safety issue? I have no intention of using this camera without the grip otherwise.

Re: Stuck battery grip -- does it matter?

I have a cheap grip on my T2i and have no known problem.
So go ahead and put on Magic lantern, you won't regret it.

Although the instructions say to remove the battery grip, I did not and it worked fine.
