Quality setting
Hey guys, dumb question, but what does everyone have set for Quality under the Menu Settings? (Jpeg / RAW).... Does everyone just keep it with the " - " or do you use a specific raw or anything. I will be edditting on FCP7.
Thanks! |

Re: Quality setting
I use RAW for stills (although I film professionally I am a happy amateur with these, still like to play around and if you have a video editing program on your computer, you probably have the power and space to take photos in RAW)
For timelapses in my films I usually use JPEG L because I rarely feel like touching up on those in post |

Re: Quality setting
The RAW/JPEG setting are for still images only. There is no "quality" setting for video files, only resolution and frame rate settings. The camera Shoots in H.264 for all its video, and most people convert those files to something like Apple ProRes for editing in Final Cut.
