Anyone know if this will work with a DSLR?

No. The HDMI out of the current HDSLR's are crippled - they do not put out a full raster 1080 X 1920.

On the 7D Canon place a white square (or red) on the screen if you record via HDMI - incredible heh?
But this is the Ninja which starts shipping this week - half the price of the AJA!!! The Ninja - HDMI ProRes HDD or SSD Recorder This will work on my GH2 so I hear - which is great news. I am placing my order once I check this. |

This can be disabled in the t2i's with magic lantern. And what about recording the stream when its not in record mode (ie, liveview)? |

I'm curious about this too - even if the white square could be removed, is the 7D actually putting out a full 1080p 16x9 signal? I was under the impression it was still cropped center frame.
