Cole, before you send it to Canon for repair put the body cap on and start the manual sensor cleaning from the menu. I had a bright white spot show up in the finished video on a 7D project, it was there in every clip except where light image tones masked it.
I did the manual sensor clean with the body cap on for 5 minutes and that seemed to take care of it. I've read that is the first thing Canon will try before they do anything else. Somehow it resets or remaps the sensor. So now before I start on a project I cap the bodies I plan to use and do the manual sensor clean for just a few minutes. I've not seen anything like it since. |
