probably a stupid question
Ok, every time I export 7D footage from Final Cut shot in 24fps its in wide screen, (black bars on top and bottom). Ive noticed videos on youtube, vimeo, etc. that arent. Does this have to do with how I'm exporting the video or how I'm recording it?

If you're shooting HD in the camera it's 16:9. You need to make sure you're working in a 1920x1080 timeline in FCP. Check your sequence settings.

the camera's record in widescreen, HD is wider than say a TV, but the black bars thing has to do with your project settings as the poster above me explained
like he said, check your sequence settings, they should match your uprezed footage |
