17-55 f2.8 IS /stabilizer question
When flying the 7d with a Canon 17-55 with IS, do you leave the IS on or off? I'm interested in hearing any feedback. I Have an Indicam ( steady type rig) and with my 7d I usually use the Tokona 11-16. I was thinking of switching to the 17-55, bu twasn't sure whether or not to turn on the IS.

Not sure about the Canon, but I have to turn off the VC on my Tamron when flying it on my Black Bird or it will strobe badly. Check your owners manual if it says turn it off when on a tripod the same would hold true for the flyer.

Definitely IS should be OFF when flying on a Steadicam.
