Possible to recover a formatted CF card?
Yikes... I just accidentally formatted a 32GB Kingston CF card in my 7D before backing up the footage. Is it possible to recover the video files that were on there?
Please help! |

There are different data recovery solutions out there for windows and mac. From a windows perspective, I've used GetDataBack on the Windows XP and 7 with great results (deleted files, formatted partitions, etc.) Good luck.

Yes its possible as long as you don't use the CF card after you format it! I did this in my previous wedding job and lucky I was able to retrieve almost all of it.
I used SanDisk RescuePro that came with the CF card that I bought. Good luck! |

Depending on the model line, your Kingston card may have come with a complementary license for MediaRECOVER. If you still have the box and/or documentation I would check it for more information.
You can also try the freeware Recuva application by the developers of CCleaner. |
