Camera Monitoring

Hi. Sorry if this has been covered already, but I've searched, and found no info. Is there any way (or product) that will allow me to monitor 3 DSLR's (or more) at the same time on a laptop? I'm not interested in capturing the video to harddrive (although that would be a plus), just monitoring. Also, possibly allow me to keep the camera shutter open (like Bulb setting) while the laptop saves the frames at intervals for time lapse, to save wear, and tear on the mechanical shutter. I've looked at some different security cam software, but don't know enough about it to know if that would work properly. Any help appreciated.. thanks
