Question about 3rd party AC power adapter for 7D
I just purchased a ac power adapter for my Canon 7D from amazon for half the price.. This is not a canon adapter but one made in China. I would have got a canon adapter but i couldn't find one available. anyway i'm beginning to have second thoughts about connecting this to my 7D. Does anyone here use an 3rd party adapter for there 7D is it safe if something happened would this void the warranty? I guess I'm a little worried about toasting my camera and plugging this thing into the wall overseas.

update
I decided to return the AC power adapter. When I went to test it the two prong wasn't even standard size it was a bit smaller so it kept falling out of the wall outlet. I didn't even plug it into my camera for fear that it would toast the 7D. I'll shop around until I find a canon or another name brand adapter for my 7D.
