50p to 25p Slow mo
Hi guys,
I've searched all over the forums, but I fail to find a thread about workflow for converting 50p to 25p slow mo on an AVID MC PC. I just got my beautiful t2i and I want to do some slow-mo tests. Is there a way to do it with AVID? Do I need to use After Effects? does anyone know a tutorial for that? Help!! Thanks |

You need to conform if to 25P. In Final Cut you'd do it with Cinema Tools, but you'd need to convert it to ProRes or another I Frame codec as it doesn't work with Long GOP ones.

Hi Yaniv,
As far as I know, you need to go trough AfterEffects, here is a quick glance at the job at hand: Setup a composition matching your specs, import the stuff and then you have to "interpret footage" from 25fps to 50fps. Drop in timeline and export in Avid DNX codec... Kinda time consuming ... François |
