Noisy Lens - 28-135 IS
I have 2 of these lens. Both are close to 10 years old. They are great for video but there is a lot of noise in the lens. Sounds like a bucket of glass being rotated round and round. The lens works great and the IS really does the trick. However, I noticed the noise on a playback with the camera mounted on a tripod.
Is there a way to fix this? Send it to Canon? BHPhoto? Thanks, Burt |

I have this lens. What you're hearing is normal when the stabilizer is on.
Turn off Image Stabilization. You'll be surprised at the difference in the audio, how quiet it is when I.S. is switched off. |
